CEO ∙ Melbourne & Olympic Parks Trust ∙ Melbourne

Brian Morris is the CEO of Melbourne Park.

Melbourne Park is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar upgrade that will ensure that it continues to be a world class sporting and entertainment precinct for generations to come.

Redevelopment works will place a strong emphasis on the comfort of patrons with more open space and shade, increased seating, better connections to public transport and the city, and easier movement to and within the precinct.

Broken down into 3 stages over 13 years, the works are improving significant elements of the precinct to make it one of the world’s best facilities.

The AUD366 million first stage is complete and included a new National Tennis Centre and Eastern Plaza as well as upgrades to Margaret Court Arena which included an additional 1,500 seats, a retractable roof and fully enclosed concourse and foyer.

The AUD388 million stage 2 is underway and includes significant upgrades to Rod Laver Arena, a new Tennis HQ (administration and media) and the Tanderrum Bridge providing further connection to the city.

Stage 3 commences in early 2019 and will introduce an impressive new Function and Media Centre, production kitchen and central logistics hub, 5000 seat show court arena and completion of the central terrace that will link to the Rod Laver Arena upgrade.
